As an InfantSEE® provider in Orange, Family Eyecare of Orange provides a one-time, no-cost comprehensive eye and vision assessment for infants aged 6-12 months. This exam helps ensure your little one’s eyes are developing properly during these critical early years.
Why early eye exams are important
Many parents assume that vision naturally develops without early eye exams and might put off scheduling check-ups until their child starts going to school. However, vision is a learned skill, and the most critical stages of its development occur within the first year of life.
During these early months, your baby’s eyes and brain are busy growing and making connections that lay the groundwork for how they’ll see and understand the world around them. This is when their visual system is most adaptable and responsive to interventions. By the time a child reaches school age, some vision issues might already have impacted their learning and development. InfantSEE® eye exams help us catch any potential problems early on and make sure your little one is on track for healthy vision from the beginning.

During my last eye exam I was telling Dr Tran about my son and how he hasn’t had an eye exam in a long time because of his fear of doctors. She asked if she could try to give him an exam. I reluctantly agreed. Today was his appointment and I was very pleased and shocked at how well my son did at his exam today. Dr Tran was patient, kind, remembered everything I told her about my son two months ago, and explained each step to him in a way he could understand. She gained his and my trust very quickly.
